Budgeting and financial planning are essential for the stability and growth of any organization, especially in software development companies that operate in a competitive and rapidly changing environment. This study titled “Budgeting and Financial Planning in a Software Development Company” was conducted at Tally Cloud9 Soft Tech, Gudiyatham, Tamil Nadu, which has a workforce of 22 employees. The research aims to understand the company’s budgeting practices, financial planning methods, and challenges in managing financial resources. Primary data was collected through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data was obtained from company records and literature. The study identifies gaps in variance analysis and cash flow forecasting and suggests improvements for effective financial planning.
