    [abstract] => The paper deals with the application of Operational research techniques in the courier industry and how it impacts the efficiency of its operation. Using the Hungarian method used to solve assignment problems and apply certain assumptions, we analysed actual data for the city of Indore to find out the practicality of using these techniques. Our analysis shows the capability of Operation research tools and their usage in a practical situation.
