Particularly, Jath tehsil is a drought-prone tehsil and it has almost all area as dryland area. The farmers in this area choose to an effective risk-coping strategy of farming, because they are not aware of the risks faced and they are unable to manage them effectively. So, they adopt subsistence farming strategy.
