    [abstract] => The present study discusses Trends and Patterns of Combined Public Expenditure and Social Sector Expenditure in India, during 1980 to 2022. The study provides valuable insights on evolving priorities and responses by Government for addressing socio-economic challenges. Over the period, the study reveals an upward trend in Public Spending reflecting Governments priorities towards Social Sector Development and Public Welfare. Overall, the study highlights a sustained commitment from the Government for achieving Socio-Economic Development amidst changing Economic context and priorities.
