Industry often laments on the lack of skilled workforce both in terms of quality and quantity which has led many companies to create their own models of talent sourcing and developing required skills. This is mainly because the skills acquired by the students is not meeting the requirements of the company. It was generally found that although skill development is included as a part of the curriculum, industry found it difficult as they were not properly supplied. India is poised to become the youngest country in the world by
2020, with an average age of 29 years so if the youth are not skilled and face unemployment challenges it might turn up to be a liability rather than an asset for the nation.
