    [abstract] => <p>Health is not only important for individual but it is also important for economic growth and development of an economy. To evaluate how a health system is performing it becomes necessary to measure the level of universal health coverage. Universal Health Coverage refers to access to essential health services to all without any financial hardship (World Health Organisation).This paper tries to measure the level of UHC service coverage in a kanhai village of Haryana. The present study is based upon primary data collected from Kanhai village of Gurgaon district of Haryana. The study found that the value of Universal Health Service Coverage index is 0.75 , it in simple terms means that availability and accessibility of health services is 75 % for people of Kanhai village of Gurgaon district , irrespective of health service provider and cost incurred on health.</p>
