    [abstract] => <p>Mutual fund industry in India is on the brink of a major transformation. With the financial impetus given by Indian Government to banking and finance sector, these sectors will be one of the top performing areas in Indian Stock market. This research paper aims at analyzing and comparing the performance of selected mutual funds in banking and financial sector which are listed on National Stock Exchange with the benchmark index CNX Bank Nifty and &nbsp;using different tools of statistical and ratio analysis. It also focuses on fulfilling the information gap for the investors by collating the facts and figures needed to make a rational investment decision.</p>
