The ASEAN India Free Trade Agreement brings strategic gains to India;  however, economic gains can be substantial only if supply chains are developed with a focus towards intra-industry trade. The AIFTA agreement provides increased scope for integration of supply chains in the machinery, electrical and electronics sectors and transport, which could be further supplemented by services trade and investment. These paper deals with trends in India’s export to the ASEAN countries and India’s imports from the ASEAN countries during the period 2005-2006 to 2015-2016. This paper outlines the product wise India’s export to the ASEAN countries and India’s imports from the ASEAN countries during the period 2005-2006 to 2015-2016. This paper concludes with some interesting findings.
