Abstract
The harmful nature of the mining sector is daring yet undulating to the extent of death. It is believed that most of the Mining workers retire with sickness or die shortly of acquired sickness. (Arnold J. 2005). It is an obvious that these mining workers do not enjoy the right to safety as enshrined in the Labur law, Act 651 sect-ion 10, subsection 1 concerning satisfactory, safe and healthy conditions at work place. According to Sinclair RR, Tucker JS, Wright C, Cullen JC (2017), the Ghanaian mining sector employs approximately, 15 % of the country’s labour force where majority are youthful. Unfortunately, majority of these employees are involved in the under ground operations. Due to this, employee turnover rate and poaching is high at the mining industry.
