This research paper aims to examine the mediating effect of economic growth on the relationship between human development and tax revenue in Karnataka. The analysis revealed a significant direct effect of human development on tax revenue in Karnataka. This positive and significant direct effect indicates that progress in human development, such as better education, health, and income levels, directly lead to increased tax revenues. But the indirect effect of human development on tax revenue through economic growth, however, was not found to be statistically significant.
