Abstract
The Startup India initiative, launched in 2016, aims to foster entrepreneurship and promote startup ecosystems across India. This research paper examines the impact of Startup India on economic development and job creation in the country. Using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from startup founders and policymakers, this study assesses the effectiveness of Startup India in promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment. The findings suggest that Startup India has been successful in creating a supportive ecosystem for startups, leading to increased entrepreneurship activity, job creation, and economic growth. However, challenges persist, including access to funding, regulatory hurdles, and skill gaps. The study recommends policy interventions to address these challenges and further strengthen the startup ecosystem. This research contributes to the existing literature on entrepreneurship, economic development, and job creation, providing insights for policymakers, entrepreneurs, and researchers seeking to understand the impact of Startup India and similar initiatives.
