    [abstract] => This study explored the impact of the upcoming implementation of the National Government Rightsizing Program (NGRP) in the Department of Public Works and Highways - Eastern Samar District Engineering Office (DPWH-ESDEO), particularly for its expected effect on both operational efficiency and employee welfare. This reform aims to create a leaner, efficient and effective government by reducing or, if possible, eliminating redundancies, overlaps and duplications in existing agencies, rules and regulations, systems, and processes (Diokno-Sicat, 2018). Thus, rightsizing will simplify government processes for it to become more productive and be able to provide efficient public service to the Filipino people.
