A STUDY ON STUDENTS' SCOPE AND PROSPECTS OF CHOOSING PROFESSIONAL COURSES (CA/CMA/CS) WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO LAKSHYA ACADEMY

Abstract
Chartered Accountancy, Cost and Management Accountancy, and Company Secretary courses have a significant impact on the development of professional competence and career opportunities in the commerce field. The main purpose of conducting the research is to explore the scope and prospects for students in choosing professional courses, with special reference to Lakshya Academy. The research has utilized primary data collection methods, and the data has been collected from 91 respondents with the help of a structured questionnaire. The analysis has shown that the major reasons for choosing professional courses are high salary prospects (51%), and career growth opportunities (28%). The findings have revealed that the major course preferred by students is CA (54%), followed by CMA (34%), and then CS (13%). The major challenges faced by students while choosing a course have shown that 32% face difficulties in their studies, and 30% face financial constraints.
