Abstract
The manufacturing industry has seen major changes in the human resource practices especially in recruitment and onboarding due to digital transformation. This work analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR processes under the influence of digital technologies like applicant tracking systems (ATS), artificial intelligence (AI), and online onboarding platforms. Conventionally, manufacturing recruitment and onboarding was a manual, lengthy process that was error-prone. Nonetheless, due to the use of digital tools, now organizations can simplify hiring procedures, decrease the turnaround period, and improve the candidate experience. The study is about the enhancement of the talent acquisition process through digitalization through enhanced screening of candidates, data management and communication. It will also discuss how digital onboarding is transforming the business to enhance employee satisfaction, minimize paperwork and expedite the integration process of the new employee into the company. Also, issues like technological accommodation, data security, and employee training are also mentioned in the study. Moreover, the digital transformation aids in the data-driven decision-making of the HR by offering real-time analytics and insights on the recruitment data (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and employee retention rates). These lessons can assist manufacturing organizations to formulate workforce planning opportunities better and can match recruitment tactics with business objectives. It also helps the HR professionals to concentrate more on strategic operations, as opposed to concentrating on mundane administrative duties. On the whole, the results indicate that digital transformation contributes to the enhancement of the operational performance, reduction of costs, and employee satisfaction in the manufacturing industry. The research draws the conclusion that organizations entering the digital recruitment and onboarding practices are necessary to be competitive in the fast-changing industrial environment.
