The banking system in India has evolved over several decades and is well established, serving the credit and banking needs of the economy. Poor working environments, including frequent work changes, overwork, role ambiguity, lack of clarity in communication, inappropriate leadership styles, lack of social support, transfers, and other factors, contribute significantly to the stress experienced by female bank employees. Women employees from private sector banks such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Karnataka Bank Limited were selected as the target population for data collection.
