Abstract
This paper examines key directions for enhancing the compilation of the consumer price index (CPI) in Uzbekistan. It focuses on improving price observation, integrating multi-source data within a unified methodological framework, updating the weighting system, applying aggregation methods consistently, and strengthening validation procedures. The study argues that CPI quality depends on the coherence of observation, processing, and aggregation stages rather than isolated technical improvements. A comprehensive organizational and methodological approach for national practice is proposed.
