TRANSFORMATION OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIC IMPLICATIONS

Abstract
The Amalgamation of Artificial Intelligence in the corporate environment has evolved a new era for the workplace, with a significant impact on Human Resource Management. Techniques driven by pattern recognition, natural language processing, and automated decision making are now an inherent part of HR functions. These tools have promoted HR processes by facilitating more optimized, advanced, and efficient and evidence based decisions. The implementation of AI have reshaped HR functions involving recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, and Capacity building. Though recent research findings have emphasized the effectiveness of AI adoption, it is crucial to consider the potential challenges.AI has the ability to produce evident benefits by streamlining functions, advanced decision making, improving employees’ engagement and preserving work-life balance. On the other hand it also raises concerns about prejudiced algorithms, privacy threats and gaps in transparency, especially in organizations not prepared enough in adapting such technologies. Previous researches have indicated that effectiveness of AI in Human Resources is only successful when rooted by well-organized systems and supervised by proactive authorities. This study concludes by suggesting recommendations for reliable AI integration and classifying various areas where researches can bring progressive developments.
