Abstract
Training and development is an important function of human resource management that focuses on improving the knowledge, skills, abilities, and overall performance of employees in an organization. Training refers to the process of teaching employees the specific skills required to perform their current jobs effectively, while development focuses on preparing employees for future responsibilities and career growth. In today’s competitive business environment, organizations invest heavily in employee training and development programs to improve productivity, efficiency, employee satisfaction, and organizational performance. Effective training programs help employees adapt to changing technologies, improve communication skills, increase motivation, and enhance work quality. Development activities such as leadership training, mentoring, workshops, and career planning contribute to long-term organizational success. Employee training and development also reduce errors, improve teamwork, and increase employee retention. Organizations that focus on continuous learning create a positive work culture and maintain a competitive advantage in the market. Therefore, training and development play a significant role in achieving both individual and organizational goals.
