Abstract
Performance appraisal is an important function of Human Resource Management that helps organizations evaluate employee performance and productivity. It is a systematic process through which employees’ work performance is measured, reviewed, and compared with organizational standards and objectives. Performance appraisal helps organizations identify employee strengths, weaknesses, training needs, and career development opportunities. It also supports decision-making regarding promotions, salary increments, rewards, transfers, and employee motivation.
