    [abstract] => Foreign Direct Investment plays a very significant role in the growth and development of the country. Sometimes domestically available capital is insufficient for the purpose of overall development of the nation. Foreign capital is seen as a way of filling in gaps between domestic savings and investment. India can attract much larger foreign investments than it has done in the past. The present study has put forth on the overview of FDI in India.
