    [abstract] => This study aimed to investigate the impact of  the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act MGNREGA on the economic status of women in Ghazipur district Uttar Pradesh a sample size of 380 women was selected and the survey  was conducted to collect data on various economic indicator such as income expenditure etc the result of the study indicate that MGNREGA positive impact on the economic status of women in Ghazipur district the program provided employment opportunity to women which Led to an increase in their income
