The poultry industry plays a significant role in India’s agricultural and food processing sector by supplying affordable protein sources such as eggs and chicken meat. Due to the perishable nature of poultry products, effective demand forecasting and inventory management have become essential for maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing wastage. This study focuses on analyzing the impact of demand forecasting and inventory management practices on operational efficiency in the poultry supply chain, with special reference to Suguna Foods Pvt. Ltd. The study aims to evaluate forecasting techniques, inventory control practices, and their influence on supply chain performance. Both primary and secondary data were used for the research. Primary data was collected through structured questionnaires from 106 respondents including employees, students, farmers, and business people. Secondary data was collected from journals, books, websites, and company-related sources. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study, and statistical tools such as percentage analysis, chi-square analysis, tabulation, bar charts, and pie charts were used for data interpretation. The findings of the study reveal that most respondents consider inventory management and demand forecasting as important factors influencing operational performance. The study also identifies that poor planning, inaccurate forecasting, and inefficient inventory practices may lead to stock shortages, spoilage, increased holding costs, and operational losses. Furthermore, the research highlights the importance of ERP systems, inventory monitoring, and interdepartmental coordination in improving supply chain efficiency
