[abstract] => The term CSR has developed from the voluntary choices of individual company to mandatory regulations at regional, national and international levels. In todays socially conscious environment, customers, employees and other stakeholders place a premium on working for and spending their money on businesses that prioritize CSR. This study has been conducted to know the present scenario of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) practices by Sariah based commercial banks in Bangladesh. Banking sector is the most important sector for any country. This sector is the life blood of the economy. Therefore practicing CSR by this industry is much more necessary. This paper aims to investigate that what level of CSR activities are practiced by the Sariah based commercial banks in Bangladesh.
