    [abstract] => In the spiritual heritage of Mahmud al-Zamakhshari, the Quranic chapters and verses are central. The unique approach of the thinker to the interpretation of the Quran creates the basis for realizing and understanding the holy book in harmony with religion and reason. The scholar’s interpretations of justice, mercy and moral responsibility, as well as personal and social behavior from surahs and verses, contribute to a more in-depth study of the true essence of Islamic moral philosophy. In his moral views, the thinker emphasizes the importance of inner purification and spiritual development, and also encourages a person to strive for spiritual elevation and closeness to God
