This study explores the impact of single-parenting on children's emotional, psychological, academic, behavioral, and social well-being. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was obtained from national surveys, scholarly literature, and expert interviews with child psychologists, educators, and social workers. Findings indicate that children from single-parent families are more likely to experience emotional distress, lower academic achievement, increased behavioral issues, and economic disadvantages compared to their peers from two-parent households. Financial instability, reduced parental supervision, and emotional stress contribute to these developmental difficulties. However, various intervention strategies, including community-based mentorship programs, school counseling initiatives, financial assistance programs, and trauma-informed care, have been identified as effective measures in mitigating these challenges. The study highlights the importance of multi-faceted support systems, emphasizing the role of educational institutions, mental health professionals, and government policies in providing resources to single-parent families. While existing interventions have shown positive outcomes, additional policy reforms and targeted programs are necessary to enhance long-term developmental success for children in single-parent households. This research underscores the urgent need for improved access to mental health services, financial assistance, and educational support to create a more stable and nurturing environment for these children.
