This study aims to analyze his songs to understand how they show social issues like poverty, the effect of poverty, and how his music serves as a medium for social awareness and advocacy. The study used the Realism and Sociological theories and applied qualitative design trough content analysis to examine the lyrics. The results show that Freddie Aguilar’s songs use different themes, metaphor, and symbols to express messages. His song also talks about unequal justice, lack of education, unemployment, and hunger. They serve as a way to expose social problem, criticize government neglect, and show the absence of justice. The researcher recommends that future studies focus on the issue of poverty and justice in society. It is also suggested to promote fairness and justice for everyone, whether rich or poor, and to support kindness and equality for those who are marginalized or living in poverty.
