    [abstract] => The activities of educational institutions in this area have a special role in the protection of public health and the development of medical science. During the years of independence, Uzbekistan has been paying more seriaes attention to the development of medical education. Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 5, 2017 No PP-2956 “On measures to further perform the system of medical education in the Respublic of Uzbekistan” [11, 1], April 7, 2020 No PP-4666 “On measures to introduce a completely new system of training and continuous professional development in the field of the health care [8]. In accordance with the resolution, a number of positive steps are being taken in this area.
