Child Labour is a global phenomenon where unfortunately large proportions of children are deprived of their basic rights and are engaged in various sectors of the economy. The affirmation of the elimination of child labour as an objective coupled with commitment to action, pending its attainment, to improve the conditions of working children are the two planks of ILO policy. In this article the researcher tries to explain the reality of the problem of child labour and finds out the existing constitutional and legislative framework to curb the menace.
