    [abstract] => The present study focus on  labour utilization, cost and returns structure for black gram cultivation in the study area. This study further analyzes the utilization of labour and  input-output structure  in terms of gross returns , total operating costs and total production costs and analyzes the cost and returns structure of  both large and small farmers cultivating black gram. It was inferred from this study that there exists a significant difference between the input- output structure of farmers cultivating Black gram pulses.
