    [abstract] => The article is based on preliminary experiments on the anthropocentric comparison of toponyms related to religious concepts in English and Uzbek languages. In it, the materials of English and Uzbek languages are compared within the framework of the topic, and the commonalities and specifics are revealed. The available materials show that the principles of nomination in both languages are very close. Most of the peculiarities are somewhat related to the characteristics of the religions to which both peoples belong.
