In a public or private activity like voting or polling, it assures the integrity of the process as well as the immutability of the data vis-a- vis the poll/vote. Anonymity and privacy for the voter can also be integrated into the overall scheme. This paper explores the potential of blockchain-based e-voting systems in various domains, focusing on their benefits and implementation challenges.
