The method of this study was a systematic literature review. The study reveals that Education is a process of liberation in which individuals are empowered to become active participants in their own learning and in the social and political life of their communities. At the same time, the comparison with the three great educators makes the Paulo Freire’s educational thoughts unique, distinct, and significant.
