Abstract
Civic engagement among students is declining. The general objective of this study was to determine the significance of 21st century skills and leadership potential as predictors of civic engagement among college students. Using descriptive-correlational design specifically regression analysis, the data from 125 college students selected through convenient sampling revealed that the 21st century skills and leadership potential variables both have a positive significant influence on civic engagement by 64.7%, affirming the Transformative Learning theory. Other variables not covered in the study may be explored to trace the 36.3% variance in the criterion variable. Further, the value of civic engagement may be enhanced by educational institutions to contribute the attainment of SDG 4.
