    [abstract] => Hemifacial spasm (HFS) is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by involuntary contractions of the facial muscles and is often accompanied by psychoemotional disturbances and a decreased quality of life. The aim of this study was to assess the levels of depression, anxiety, and quality of life in patients with HFS, as well as to determine the relationship between the frequency of spasms and psychoemotional distress.
