Abstract
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders. It commonly affects 7-20% of women of reproductive age. PCOS is interconnected to systemic disorders such as Diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disorder and psychological conditions. Studies have reported that PCOS has a bidirectional link with periodontitis. According to the recent data, the women with PCOS may more likely suffer from periodontal diseases. They tend to have a compromised periodontal health. Chronic low-grade inflammation is the connecting pathway that links periodontal diseases and systemic disorders.
