This study wants to find out the present scenario of tribal workforce and how much the tribal communities of Jammu and Kashmir are different from each other in terms of workforce. For this study census data of 2011 on tribal population was used. The study takes twelve tribal communities of Jammu and Kashmir. Results stated that tribal communities belonged to Ladakh region shows higher percentage of their working population in main worker category and majority of them are engaged in other workers category.
