Abstract
The article discusses the social function of language, its place in society, cultural concepts, national values, customs, traditions and their transmission to the younger generation. The linguoculturological features of the Turkic languages, in particular Uzbek, are revealed. The semantics of some lexical units during the period of the Old Uzbek literary language, linguistic and cultural opportunities, national values, their significance in the expression of views are described. In addition to the denotative meaning of lexical units, typical examples are used to explain the way of life of the Uzbek people, concepts related to human relations. It is emphasized that the national language should be appreciated and considered as a means of communication and a reality that collects and expresses national values.
