Though anaemia in itself might seem to be less life threatening, in the long term its ill effects may be fatal. The current study tries to assess the prevalence of anaemia among nursing students, who are the future of primary healthcare system. Complete blood count test and anaemia profile was done for 200 nursing students and 44% of them were found to be anaemic. It is worth noting that all the students found to be anaemic were females. A number that makes us ponder upon whether enough is done to screen, create awareness and treat anaemia.
