    [abstract] => The article examines the shortcomings of the cylinder used in the drying of raw cotton and makes recommendations for improving the design of the cylinder blade. The movement of raw cotton along the cylinder was also studied. There is also a diagram of the forces acting on the raw cotton falling from the cylinder. The article provides important recommendations for the effective use of the cylinder working area.
