Abstract
Employee is an asset to an organization. Employee performance directly or indirectly affects the growth of the organization. Employee retention is dependent on the employee motivation is on the whole dependent on the employee engagement in an organization. This paper tries to bring out all the factors that affect this employee engagement in the IT industry across the country. Among the factors it is been observed that demographic factors also affect the performance of the employee and their engagement. So, the paper through literature tries to bring out the various demographic and other factors affecting the employee engagement.
