Abstract
This research explores the significant impact of cultural festivals and other cultural factors on the tourism industry in Uttarakhand, India. The study reveals that cultural festivals play a crucial role in attracting diverse tourists, fostering community engagement, and boosting the local economy. Respondents overwhelmingly recognize these festivals as central to the region's tourism landscape, highlighting their importance in showcasing Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the research identifies other influential cultural elements, including ethnic diversity, religious significance, and cultural heritage, which collectively enhance the tourism appeal of the region. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, tourism stakeholders, and local communities, emphasizing the need to promote and preserve cultural festivals and factors to support sustainable tourism practices. This study advocates for the integration of cultural considerations into tourism strategies to ensure balanced and inclusive growth for Uttarakhand’s tourism industry, while also suggesting avenues for future research on cultural initiatives and their implications for tourism development
