Abstract
Sun salutation, also known as Surya Namaskar, is a comprehensive yoga technique that combines exercise, controlled breathing, relaxation, and mindfulness. The Sun is necessary for life to exist on Earth. The Surya Namaskar, also known as the Sun Salutation, is a very traditional way of expressing gratitude to the Sun, the source of all life on Earth. Surya namaskar has been demonstrated to have an impact on a person's perception and performance in addition to increasing physical stamina and endurance. Surya Namaskar has several health advantages for various bodily systems, particularly the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurological, respiratory, and endocrinal systems. Surya Namaskar is highly advised by all yoga gurus for a healthy daily practise because it revitalises and regenerates each and every cell in the body. In addition to these advantages, Surya Namaskar supports the maintenance of a stress-free, serene, and enlightened mind. Thus, performing Surya Namaskar on a daily basis is highly advised to maintain both physical and mental wellness. Even though the Surya Namaskar steps are very practical and scientific, they nevertheless require modern scientific rationale in order to be widely practised worldwide. With this in mind, the current review has been designed to revalidate the sacred Surya Namaskar movements using the best available scientific evidence.
