This paper has underlined the importance of rainy season on Kokan region in Maharashtra. As we know that rain is a source of the life of everyone who are living on the Earth hence everyone is waiting to the monsoon which have starting mostly in the month of June .Rainy season is a source of many things in our life and plays different role may be in form of freshwater, drinking water ,good climate for crop ,water storage , to maintain good quality of air, water recreation ,develop tourism to prevent soil erosion, to maintain the balance between the animal husbandry and nature and to support the forest too
