Abstract
Accessing government welfare schemes is often challenging for citizens due to fragmented information sources, complex eligibility criteria, and limited digital literacy. Many individuals remain unaware of programs designed to benefit them, resulting in underutilization of essential services. This research proposes an AI-powered Tamil Nadu Government Scheme Recommendation System that provides personalized, accurate, and real-time suggestions to users based on their demographic, socioeconomic, and personal information. The system integrates an intelligent chatbot with a centralized and continuously updated knowledge base containing comprehensive information on state and private welfare schemes. Utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP), the chatbot interacts with users conversationally, collecting relevant data, analyzing eligibility criteria, and instantly recommending suitable schemes. The platform is accessible through both web and mobile interfaces, ensuring usability for individuals across all age groups and literacy levels, including rural and underserved populations. By automating the recommendation process, the system minimizes manual effort, enhances transparency, and ensures equitable access to welfare programs. Furthermore, it supports efficient governance by enabling authorities to monitor usage patterns and identify underserved areas. The proposed system empowers citizens with knowledge of their entitlements, bridges the information gap, and facilitates the effective delivery of welfare initiatives. This approach demonstrates the potential of AI and intelligent systems in enhancing public service accessibility and promoting social inclusion. Overall, the Tamil Nadu Government Scheme Recommendation System exemplifies a scalable, user-friendly, and inclusive solution for connecting citizens with benefits they are eligible.
