This article discusses the organization of emergency rescue and other urgent works during natural and man-made emergencies occurring at railway transport facilities. The specific features of rescue operations during railway accidents, fires, and incidents involving dangerous goods are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between civil protection units, railway services, and specialized rescue and recovery trains. The methods of conducting rescue operations under radiation and chemical hazard conditions are also scientifically substantiated.
