Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the financial landscape in India, particularly through the development of electronic payment (e-payment) systems. This research paper examines the structure, adoption, and impact of the e-payment ecosystem in Palghar district. The study focuses on key components such as mobile payments, banking infrastructure, user behavior, and challenges faced in semi-urban and rural areas. Based on primary data collected from 100 respondents and supported by secondary sources, the findings reveal that while e-payment systems have significantly improved convenience and financial inclusion, issues such as digital literacy, network connectivity, and security concerns continue to affect adoption. The study concludes that the e-payment ecosystem in Palghar is growing rapidly but requires policy support and awareness initiatives for sustainable development.
