Abstract
Training and development programs are essential for enhancing employee capabilities, but their true effectiveness depends on the successful transfer of learned skills to the workplace. This study focuses on the role of training transfer in enhancing job performance. Training transfer refers to the extent to which employees apply the knowledge, skills, and abilities gained during training in their actual job roles. The report examines how effective training transfer leads to improved employee productivity, better quality of work, enhanced decision-making, and increased job satisfaction. It also identifies key factors influencing training transfer, including trainee characteristics, training design, work environment, and organizational support. The study highlights that without proper transfer, training investments fail to deliver desired results. Challenges such as lack of managerial support, poor training design, and limited opportunities for application can hinder the transfer process. Therefore, organizations must adopt effective strategies like practical training methods, continuous feedback, and post-training support to ensure successful implementation. The findings conclude that training transfer acts as a critical link between learning and performance, and organizations that focus on improving transfer mechanisms can achieve higher efficiency, employee engagement, and overall organizational success.
