Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the extent to which participation in Girl Scouting influences the holistic development of adolescent females. A descriptive–predictive correlation research design employing a quantitative approach was utilized. The respondents consisted of 95 adolescent female Girl Scouts, selected through a random sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured, researcher-adapted questionnaire and analyzed using mean and standard deviation to determine levels of participation and development, Pearson product–moment correlation to establish relationships, and multiple regression analysis to identify predictive indicators. Findings revealed that Girl Scout participation and adolescent female development were generally at a moderate level, with life skills training and responsibility participation demonstrating stronger manifestations. A statistically significant positive relationship was found between Girl Scout participation and adolescent female development. Among the indicators, responsibility participation emerged as the sole significant predictor of adolescent female development. The results affirmed the developmental value of structured, girl-centered scouting programs and underscored the importance of responsibility-based experiences in fostering maturity, self-confidence, and future-oriented behavior among adolescent females.
