The article discusses the features of the distribution of ground beetles (Carabidae) in the desert landscapes of the Turtkul region. Ground beetles (Carabidae) are one of the largest and most numerous families of beetles. The number of species of the world fauna, according to vari-ous estimates, ranges from 25,000 to 50,000; more than 3,000 species are already known in the CIS countries.
